This Privacy Policy describes how Vidal Home Care collects, uses, and protects the information you provide through the PSW application portal.

1. Information We Collect

We collect your contact details, address, employment eligibility information, professional credentials, references, and identity documents such as a government-issued ID and selfie.

2. Identity Verification

Government-issued ID and selfie capture is handled by Stripe Identity, our identity verification provider. Stripe processes those images under its own privacy policy. Once verification completes, we receive a copy of the captured ID and selfie images and store them privately so our hiring team can review your application.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to assess your application, verify your identity and eligibility, communicate with you, and set up your caregiver account if approved.

4. How We Store Your Information

Your documents are stored in private cloud storage and are only accessible to authorized reviewers. They are never publicly accessible and are never stored in a public bucket or shared with third parties other than the providers needed to process your application.

5. Document Retention and Deletion

We keep files only as long as we need them:

• Identity images captured through Stripe Identity are deleted within 30 days of a final decision on your application (approved or declined).
• Certificates, police checks, and other documents you upload are deleted within 30 days of a decline, or within 30 days of your caregiver account being created.
• Applications that are started but never submitted are deleted after 90 days of inactivity.

After deletion we retain only non-image record details — document type, file name, and the verification outcome — for compliance and audit purposes.
